About Us
The NeuroTexas Institute Research Foundation, located in Austin, TX, was founded in 2010 as a 501c3 non-profit corporation and medical research foundation. The core team of the Foundation is a multidisciplinary group of neuroscientists, neurosurgeons, computational biologists, biostatisticians, engineers, and neurologists. This group is dedicated to advancing the scientific frontiers of neuroscience research, and leveraging these advances to improve the safety and effectiveness of patient care.
The Foundation was started with the generous support of St. David’s HealthCare Partnership and St. David’s Community Health Foundation. The Foundation expects to attract Federal and State funds, in conjunction with private donations, to support its mission to bring innovative research and education to Central Texas.
The Foundation currently resides in space at St. David’s Medical Center in Central Austin to take advantage of the hospital facilities, in addition to our own computational research space. The Foundation is also conveniently located adjacent to the University of Texas and facilitates a productive relationship with the University community.
